Biography

Patti Schaar is responsible for connecting eGen with specific industries and businesses. She cultivates and promotes opportunities to partner, raising awareness and the profile of environmentally friendly, clean and economical energy solutions. Patti’s leadership positions include transformations, change management, and capability building. With over 15 years of experience in operations environments, she has earned a reputation as someone who can easily translate the technical into the approachable. She can communicate with people at all levels of an organization — and help them communicate with each other.

She has a passion for supporting individuals and organizations on their path to recognize and achieve their full potential. She has designed and facilitated dozens of training programs for her clients and colleagues. She was a founding member of the Capability for Performance practice at McKinsey & Company. Most recently she has served several non-profit organizations in crafting their mission, vision, values, and strategic plans.

Patti’s technical background, combined with her understanding of how to balance human reasoning and emotion, uniquely qualify her to bring people along in the process of change, however difficult or complicated. She has served a variety of clients in the automotive, healthcare, industrial, non-profit, and technology sectors around the world. Prior to joining McKinsey, she served the US Departments of State & Energy on international nuclear non-proliferation initiatives. She interned for GE Consumer & Industrial during graduate school focusing on operational efficiencies.

Patti holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor of science from University of Dayton where she majored in mechanical engineering. She currently lives in Cleveland, OH, but she keeps her passport handy for last minute jaunts around the globe for work or fun. Her love for the Cleveland Indians is unending.
